Reveal the myth of the black jaguar
contribute to the first footage ever of black jaguars in the wild
The black jaguar is one of the few animals on earth
that has never been filmed in the wild. It lives in dense,
impassable forests, such as the Amazon in Brazil. No
wonder this most elusive and ferocious big cat hardly
ever shows itself to man. For most people the black
jaguar is a myth from another world. Yet the animal
finds itself in great danger. Due to deforestation and
illegal hunting the jaguar population is seriously threatened
in its existence.

The Black Jaguar Foundation is committed to preserving the jaguar and it has set itself the am bitious goal to film the black jaguar in its natural environment for the first time ever! An expert team of biologists and cameramen will stay in the Brazi lian wilderness for 14 months or longer. The result will be a documentary with unique footage of the black jaguar in its real natural habitat.

Why a documentary?
With the first images in history of the black jaguar in its natural surroundings the Black Jaguar Foun dation wants to draw the attention of a worldwide audience. Not only to show the spectacular animal itself, but also to focus attention on the continuing disastrous legal and illegal deforestation of the rain forest. Only public awareness can turn the tide.

What’s in it for the jaguar?
A documentary in itself will not save the black jaguar. Therefore the Black Jaguar Foundation reserves a significant share of its funds for two liter ally live saving projects in Brazil. These projects are managed by the internationally renowned Jaguar Conservation Fund.
The two projects focus on:
1) Jaguar corridor project: Creation of a 2000 km long jaguar corridor to enable jaguars to move freely in between the Amazon and Pantanal areas, in spite of growing human presence.
2) Compensation project: compensating cattle farmers around our filming area. By compensa ting farmers for cattle that has been attacked by jaguars, the farmer will not hire a hunter to kill the jaguars.

The Black Jaguar Foundation narrated by Kurt Kelly
In the rainforest of the Amazon lives a Black Myth. The natives call it the Yaguara Beast. It has never been filmed in the wild nor by National Geographic, nor by David Attenborough. It is the largest predator on the American continents. This mythical animal is the Black Jaguar. Its natural habitat is disappearing. Every year a piece of the Amazon rainforest 500 times the size of Manhattan island is being destroyed. Join us now to create awareness of its disappearing habitat. Join us now to preserve this endangered species. Still, we can document this most elusive black jungle ghost in its pristine natural habitat, for the first time ever.

Before it is too late. We have the technique. We have the elite of jaguar-Biologists. We have the world renowned Cat-Cameraman. We have passionate producers... Now we need YOU! To make it happen.
