Echo Park, just outside downtown LA, is a perfect place for people who want to escape from the hectic city life. Artist Rudi Berden from Belgium also finds peace at this place. Eleven years ago, Rudi moved to Los Angeles to work for the animation studios of Dreamworks.

In 1997 there was a shortage of animation artists in Hollywood. For Rudi a child’s dream came true.

Rudi started working for “The Rugrats” series, but later on he reached the top when they asked him to draw for “The Simpsons”.

Last year, the Hollywood movie business had to deal with long-term strikes. As a result Rudi lost his job. But it didn’t take a long time for the Belgian to find a solution.

Drawing did not only give Rudi a career. He also met the love of his life on his job.

Just like his friends, Rudi hopes Obama will become the next president of the US. However, he is not sure that will happen.

Wednesday, Rudi will know if the Americans will, or will not vote traditionally.
